The Bally Sports Plus app is facing a “looming question” as MLB season inches closer, according to Michael Rand of the Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE. When Bally launched the app, “only five MLB markets were included” and the Twins were not “one of them.” Though the season is months away, Twins President Dave St. Peter said, “There isn't an issue that we're dealing with that's more important than that issue.” St. Peter added the issue is “more complicated than it probably needs to be.” The hope is for Twins fans to “have as widespread accessibility” to games starting “in 2023 as possible." But it "remains to be seen what form that’s going to take.” Rand notes it feels fans are in a “wait-and-see mode” on Twins availability on the Bally app. He also noted he has signed up for he app and has been “more or less happy with it.” Rand: “I'm not thrilled to be paying $20 a month for something that used to be part of another package, but the app itself has been relatively user-friendly on both mobile and through Roku” (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 11/22).
